Thank you, Rebecca, and thanks for subbing to Backstage Pass! Have you tried using Claude to analyze the tone of your writings? I find it does as well or slightly better than ChatGPT for analyzing existing content.
But the reality is, all these tools are changing rapidly, there’s a real ‘arms race’ going on now to see who can have the best AI chatbot. For instance, since I wrote this article, X has made Grok free to all its users. I am finding I like it even better than Claude or ChatGPT for helping me structure and outline posts.
The point is, it pays to constantly re-evaluate these tools. Plus it’s fun to see what they can come up with for us! Appreciate your comment and reading. Good luck with Coffee With a Hobby Potter!
This is a fantastic post, Mack. Thank you for sharing all your findings! I've used ChatGTP so far mainly for refining/translating my Substack posts as a) I'm not a writer but a hobby potter and b) my mother tongue is not English. Sometimes I'm writing my posts in English and have it refined by ChatGTP and translated to German or vise-versa. I haven't used Perplexity yet but will certainly explore it.
I love how you've broken down the strengths of different tools Mack. That Gemini story is wild. I rarely use it. Chat GPT and Perplexity are fantastic for me.
Fantastic post, Mack! AI is a tool and should be used as such. I use it for research, drafts, and image creation.
Hi Lucille, I use it the same way, I think AI is best used to augment and enhance our creation process, not replace it. Hope you have a great week!
